I wrote this a few years ago from the campsite where we are presently staying.
There is a place to lose ourselves
on river rides and early morning walks
along paths of sunflowers before the morning heat.
Or sit, armchaired under the canopy of blue,
sipping tea, feeling the day emerge under our skin,
breathing, appreciating, grateful to be lost here
with no other job other than to catch up with ourselves,
our reading, our writing, our chatting
and listening to the wildness in the sky of eagles.
There is nothing better on the planet than eating
a baguette loaded with scrambled eggs,
cooked fireside outside, butterfly visitors to colour the day.

" butterfly visitors to colour the day" Yep!
yes please. My family could use this scene right about now :)
